Dr. Reid Stone, DDS
“Dentistry is an industry where advancements in technology are rapid, and I enjoy constantly learning and implementing new technology and techniques to better treat our patients.”
Dr. Stone received his Bachelor of Science degree from Baylor University, and then attended the University of Colorado, School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. In addition to his education, Dr. Stone participates in many hours of continuing education courses each year; far exceeding the 100-hours required every five-years to maintain his South Dakota Dental license.
As a child, Dr. Stone always admired and looked up to his dentist. Since he enjoyed science and art in school, dentistry seemed to provide the perfect opportunity to use both. Dr. Stone is a member of the Black Hills District Dental Society, the South Dakota Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
When Dr. Stone has free time, he enjoys skiing, golfing, biking, and spending time with his wife, Lindsey, and their two boys, Enzo and Nico.

Dental Hygienists
Lindsey graduated from Black Hills State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. She then went on to attend University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.
Lindsey’s been a part of our team for 7 years. She loves interacting with our patients and teaching them about the importance of dental health. A native of Lead, SD, Lindsey spends her free time skiing, biking, golfing, and enjoying her family.
Jamie grew up near Timber Lake, SD. She graduated in 2007 from North Dakota State College of Science with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been working as a dental hygienist in the area for the past 9-years. Jamie LOVES what she does! She enjoys making patients comfortable while providing them with the best dental care. She strives to make each visit a positive one for our patients.
Jamie and her husband, Katlin, made their home in the Sundace, WY area. Brayker, their son is a spit-fire! They love the outdoors and always make time for their family and best friends.
Janet and Cheryl
Dental Assistants
Janet is a native of Sauk Centre, MN and has been with us for six years. She received her Dental Assistant training through a one-year Dental Assisting program at Brainerd Vo-Tech.
Janet knows many of her patients on a personal level and enjoys catching up with them on what’s new in their lives. She’s happy to be doing a job she loves alongside a friendly team that seems more like family than co-workers.
When she’s not working with her patients, Janet and her husband love spending time outdoors, especially summers at the lake on their boat. She enjoys fishing, swimming, and hanging out with friends and family on the deck. Janet loves to work in the yard and garden in the summer, and wintertime is spent working on home projects, snowshoeing, and reading a good book.
Cheryl completed the Dental Assisting program at Western Dakota Tech and has been a Registered Dental Assistant for over 8 years. She enjoys getting to know her patients and providing them with personal attention and care.
Cheryl and her husband Mike have three wonderful children and have lived in Boulder Canyon since moving from Phoenix in 1998. In her free time, Cheryl enjoys crafting and reading when she and her family are not out camping and kayaking in the beautiful Black Hills.
The entire staff at Northern Hills Dental are kind, genuine and thoughtful. They take the time to really listen and truly want what is best for the patient. Resulting in no unnecessary procedures! Dr. Stone and team are so gentle, I look forward to my cleaning and am no longer anxious to have any other work done.
